The Chester County, Lancaster County and York County Community Boards approved grants for the Fall grant cycle totaling $443,306 to 23 organizations helping local citizens who need basic and emergency needs such as food, medical assistance, shelter, and early childhood education. In addition, these boards awarded $214,000 in discretionary grants for the year 2022.

The Board of Directors of The Springs Close Foundation along with the Chester County, Lancaster County and York County Community Boards approved grants at their April 27, 2022, annual meeting totaling $738,215 to 20 agencies and organizations helping local citizens who need basic and emergency needs such as food, medical assistance, shelter and early childhood education. In addition, the Foundation has awarded $90,000 in discretionary grants YTD.
The Foundation supports the Weekend Backpack Program which provides a backpack full of nutritious, ready to eat or easy to prepare foods that is sent home on weekends and holidays when school meals are not available. The Weekend Feeding Program is designed to supplement meals for children, who depend on school breakfasts and lunches during the week. The Foundation will serve nearly 1,700 children during the 2022-2023 school year in Chester School District, Lancaster County School District and the Fort Mill School District.
