How to Apply


Please consider if you meet the following qualifications before filling out an application:

  • Must be tax exempt under Section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
  • No grants are made to individuals.
  • Must be a nonprofit organization that effectively delivers support for basic critical needs of food, shelter, or emergency medical assistance and/or effectively address Early Childhood issues (birth to age 5) in the counties of Chester, Lancaster, and York counties.
  • We only serve the Chester County school district, Lancaster County school district, and Fort Mill school districts.

Grant application periods are as follows:

January 15 – March 1 for the Spring Board of Directors meeting.
August 15 – October 1 for the Fall Board of Directors meeting.

Before filling out an application, please fill out the Project Budget Worksheet.  It is an essential part of the review process that our community boards use in their grant making decisions.  We are unable to integrate this into our application currently.  Once you have filled it out, please save as a PDF.  Then go to the “apply now” link. Please upload it as an attachment on your application.

Please click on this link for emergency grant requests that are $2500.00 or less. They will be considered at any time.

Please click on this link for grant requests greater than $2,500.00 or more.  Deadline for these is March 1st.
